Oskar was born in Brede in 1999, but most of his upbringing came abroad, where he lived in Japan and England for a combined 10 years. When he finally returned “home”, he was often told that he couldn’t spell or place a comma to save, his life. It describes Oskar quite well, both as a writer and a person, that he then decided to become a screenwriter.
After a year at KBH Film & Photo School he left having written the short film OsWorld, which was double nominated at Odense Short Film Festival and shortlisted for a Robert Award.
Oskar has a unique voice, a satirical perspective on the world, sense for dramatical twists and an ability to surprise in both dialogue and story. He likes to write on the borderline between comedy and tragedy, as for him that is where there is most at stake.
The poor and pregnant maid Karen slaves her days away, taking care of the imprisoned noblewoman Rigmor. The film takes place in a near-future, where earth has punished all adults for not taking properly care of our planet. We follow a group of kids, left all by themselves in a trashed world, living day by day and trying to avoid the unknown future. The kids put all their fear into hating the adults, but what will happen when one of the kids starts to become one?
