Fahiem grew up in Avedøre Stationsby on the Copenhagen suburban outskirts. He holds a master's degree in Middle Eastern Studies but has primarily been involved in social work, which has consumed a significant part of his life for over 15 years. Fahiem has, therefore, built a strong foundation and experience working with marginalized groups in society. He actively incorporates this element into his storytelling, having also experienced a childhood and youth in a low-income housing area growing up with unconventional individuals.
For this reason, stories from the lower strata of society are also of great importance to him. He wants to write about the same individuals that often are the topic of public discourse, but quite unknown as real entities. Therefore, a well composed story for Fahiem is one that challenges the preconceptions and worldviews of an audience.
