After the death of their father, Sigurd wants to bury the hatchet and forgive his half siblings, Astrid and Jens, for how they treated him as kids. But this does not go as planned, as Astrid and Jens do not believe they've done anything that warrants forgiveness. Sigurd feels snubbed and realizes that what he actually wants is an apology but this demand only escalates an already tense situation and before long, they start to fall into old habits, revisiting childhood traumas.

Tim har ingen kæreste, han mødes med unge piger fra nettet. Tim forsøger at gøre en forskel som medlem af Jehovas vidner. Tims eneste rigtige kontakt med omverdenen er hans franske ”mormor”, som han jævnligt besøger. Tim har flere gange lovet sin mormor at hun snart må møde en af hans piger.
´Black Heart’ er en film om mentale efterveer. Den følger tre new yorkere, som hver især bestræber sig på at behandle et personligt tab. Den fjerde karakter er New York, som forsøger at komme sig efter 9/11-tragedien og det sår, som stadig eksisterer.
“Jeg har bestemt mig for at optage, det jeg ser hernede. Jeg har besluttet mig for at dokumentere Danmarks ondskab, som folk her har oplevet i 300 år og som jeg har oplevet i 30 år – for jeg forstår, hvordan de har det. Denne film bliver skelsættende.” Jens
